From Horror Flicks to Handmade Anti-Heros…
I’ve always had a soft spot for horror movies — the creepier, the better. So when I came across a pattern that I had purchased a few years ago to make a Billy toy, I thought he'd be just as scary (and just a bit more practical) to turn him (at least, his head anyway) into a glasses holder - and I love the result!
The only thing is that if you are susceptible to nightmares, I'm not sure this should be your last waking image before you go to sleep.
What started as a simple project quickly turned into a quirky experiment: could I turn one of horror’s most chilling icons into something cute and practical? Turns out… yes!
This Billy Puppet Glasses Holder was fairly straightforward to make, but here’s the fun twist: it took me exactly two Aliens movies to finish stitching him together. (Yes, I measure my crochet time in horror marathons!)Â
And this is just the beginning — I’m aiming to create a whole series of spooky‑yet‑adorable glasses holders. Imagine your favourite horror characters keeping your specs safe on your desk or bedside table… creepy meets cozy!
What horror character would you love to see turned into a crochet glasses holder next?
