I'm a terrible cook..

I can see all the individual ingredients but I can't envision the final product. That's why I leave all the cooking in my household, to my partner.

But when it comes to these sneaker slippers, I've made enough of them now to know that despite how messy it all looks now, it comes together perfectly in the end.

I generally like to make the particular part and then build it all up. As opposed to making all the parts individually first and then putting it all together at the end.

It's because in general, I have a small attention span - I need to see that everything is on the right track as soon as I possible can.

This week I made a size 13 womens pair. This is the largest pair I've ever made so I originally used a size 8 hook but it made the sole 33cm in length.  Size 13 should be around 29cm so the size 8 hook made the sole way too big.

Once I reverted to a size 7 hook, the sole was 29cm in length - perfect!

Sometimes, you just gotta try things to figure out what works.

What have you had to trial and error?
