Posy Glasses Holder

Every so often, a new little character arrives on my hook who feels instantly at home in the KiwiCuddlies world — and this week, that honour goes to Posy, my newest hand‑crocheted glasses holder. She’s soft, sweet, and inspired by a popular kids’ TV character (in a completely original, IP‑safe way), and I absolutely adored bringing her to life for the very first time.

I love how simple she is — clean lines, soft curves, and that pretty pink colour that gives her such a gentle, cheerful presence. She’s the kind of make that feels soothing to work on, and even lovelier to look at once she’s finished. There’s something magical about a piece that’s both handmade and functional, especially when it sits on your bedside table or craft room shelf, smiling back at you while keeping your glasses safe.

For crocheters, Posy is a very basic pattern, perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a quick, satisfying project. I actually created the crochet pattern at the same time as the finished piece — shaping her personality stitch by stitch, then writing it all down so others can make their own Posy too.

She’s also a lovely companion to my Broclette glasses holder from a few weeks ago. Together, they feel like the start of a whimsical little collection — soft, expressive characters who brighten up the everyday moments of putting your glasses down and picking them up again.

Posy stands at approximately 16 cm (6.3 inches) tall, making her the perfect size for a nightstand, desk, or craft nook. Not too big, not too small — just right for adding a touch of handmade charm to your space.

Creating her made me smile, and I hope she brings that same gentle joy to her new home. There’s something special about a piece that’s cute, practical, and stitched with heart — and Posy is all of that wrapped into one tiny pink friend.
