This Week’s Make: Broclette Glasses Holder
Broclette Glasses Holder
Every now and then, a new character arrives on my hook who instantly feels like they belong in the KiwiCuddlies family — and this week, that honour goes to Broclette, my newest hand‑crocheted glasses holder. With her fluffy green “crown” and sweet little face, she looks just like a tiny broccoli head brought to life, and I’m completely smitten.
This was my first time making a Broclette glasses holder, and she turned out even cuter than I imagined. There’s something so charming about taking an everyday vegetable and turning it into a soft, whimsical little companion who sits proudly on your nightstand, ready to greet you in the morning and keep your glasses safe overnight. She’s quirky, cheerful, and full of personality — exactly the kind of character who fits right into my world of heartfelt, magical makes.
I love adding new designs to my growing series of glasses holders. Each one has its own little story, its own expression, its own way of brightening a bedside table or desk. Broclette brings a fresh, playful energy to the collection — a tiny green friend who feels both nostalgic and delightfully unexpected.
She’s soft, sturdy, and wonderfully practical, but she also brings a bit of joy to the everyday. I can already picture her perched beside a lamp, holding someone’s glasses with pride, or sitting on a shelf looking like the cutest vegetable‑themed roommate you’ve ever had.
Creating new characters like Broclette is one of my favourite parts of this journey — dreaming them up, shaping their personalities, and watching them come to life stitch by stitch. I have a feeling she won’t be the last broccoli‑inspired friend to join the KiwiCuddlies family.
Here’s to Broclette — the sweetest little broccoli buddy you never knew you needed, now officially part of my glasses‑holder lineup and ready to bring a smile to her new home.
Cheers, Esma
